Famous People Game

This game is probably not a new concept to you. It’s a pretty popular ice breaker. It got RAVE reviews from our students here. In fact, two students from one of the schools we work with began attending our night class. We played this game at night class, the guys went to school and told their teacher that they loved it, and she asked us to play it in class.

Hannah, Rachel, and I made a list of famous people (Ukrainian, American, and other internationally-known celebrities). We included Timoshenko (Ukrainian prime minister), Queen Elizabeth, Michael Jordan, David Beckham, etc. When the students arrived, we taped a name to each person’s back.

Rules: You must determine who you “are” by asking yes/no questions IN ENGLISH. The students (and teachers- we played, too) mingle with each other, asking questions like “Am I a man?” “Am I British?” “Am I an athlete?” to determine whose name is taped on their backs.

BIG. HIT.
